ROEL Completes Renovation For Poway Academy of Hair Design

Poway, CA… ROEL Construction has completed $1.7 million tenant improvement construction for Poway Academy of Hair Design, located at 13266 Poway Road. This 20,000-square-foot renovation was completed in three phases and included structural work, all new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, and new restrooms.  The Academy is slated to be one of the finest 5-star spa and salon training facilities in the United States.  The school chose to update its facility in order to give the students and clients the feel and look of a professional spa and salon. They were named School of the Year for 2008 in Modern Salon’s First Chair Awards.

Lynelle Lynch represented the owner, Poway Academy of Hair Design, and John Bellian of Moran Architects was the architect.  H.L. Engineering & Surveying, Slayton Mechanical, and TMAD were also part of the design team.  ROEL representatives included Juliana Dupuis as group manager, Lauren Hill as project manager, Gary Truex and Butch McKittrick as superintendents, and Shawna McClure as project coordinator.
